VILLANUEVA - SANTANDER

La Posada Villa Chepy se encuentra ubicada a cuadra y media del parque principal del bello municipio de Villanueva - Santander, a 30 minutos de San Gil, la capital turística del departamento.

El municipio y sus alrededores cuentan con varios planes de interés como lo son:

Turismo:

- Visitar "La cueva del Nitro", ubicada en la vereda Aguafría de Villanueva - Santander, en donde locales cuentan leyendas sobre restos óseos de indios, piezas de cerámica y orfebrería que no se pueden sacar de la cueva pues cambia su aspecto y material.

- Parque El Gallineral ubicado en San Gil, ofrece a sus visitantes vistas hermosas de naturaleza en pleno centro de la ciudad.

- Conocer Barichara - Santander. Monumento Nacional y Patrimonio Histórico y Cultural de la Humanidad, donde su arquitectura colonial, sus calles y casas en piedra ofrecen paisajes únicos.

- Practicar deportes extremos como Parapente, Rafting en Barichara, Columpio extremo, Cable Vuelo, Cauchera Humana, Puente Tibetano a 3 Kilómetros de San Gil por la vía a Barichara/Villanueva.

- Conocer el Balneario Pozo Azul, a un kilómetro de San Gil por la vía a Bucaramanga, en donde las aguas limpias de la quebrada Curití hacen posible nadar y su paisaje es completado por pequeñas cascadas, trampolines naturales y lajas de piedra.

Alimentación y ocio:

- En el municipio de Villanueva hay varios restaurantes como : Villa Chalá", "Bajo Cero", "Delicias Mafe"donde se pueden encontrar gran variedad de platos típicos de la cocina santandereana y colombiana; y la famosa heladería "El Nevado" en la cual se disfrutan helados de sabores inusuales como yuca, aguacate, chicha y también sabores tradicionales como chocolate, arequipe, coco, etc.

- Villanueva cuenta con un paseo comercial en el parque principal del municipio donde se puede encontrar ropa, accesorios, zapatos, víveres y productos de panadería. Así mismo hay dos cajeros automáticos y una sucursal del Banco Agrario.

Rutas:

- Para llegar a este bello municipio se pueden tomar varias rutas:

+ De Bogotá (Cundinamarca) a Villanueva:

Se puede tomar la Autopista Norte y luego determinar si toma la ruta por Tunja (azul) o por Chiquinquirá (gris), al llegar a San Gil, tomar la carretera San Gil - Villanueva/Barichara y desviar en la Y conocida como "El Choro":

+ De Bucaramanga a Villanueva:

Tomar la vía Bucaramanga - San Gil y luego desviar a la vía San Gil - Villanueva/Barichara y tomar la Y conocida como "El Choro":

Posada Villa Chepy is located a block and a half from the main park of the beautiful municipality of Villanueva, Santander, 30 minutes from San Gil, the tourist capital of the department.

Tourism:

- Visit "Cueva del Nitro", located in the pathway "Aguafía" in Villanueva Santander, where locals have legends about bones remains of Indians, ceramics and gold pieces that can not be removed from the cave because it changes its appearance and material.

- El Gallineral Park located in San Gil, offers visitors beautiful views of nature in the heart of the city.

- Visit Barichara, Santander. National Monument and Historical and Cultural Patrimony of Humanity, where it's colonial architecture, the streets and houses in stone offer unique landscapes.

- Practice extreme sports such as Paragliding, Rafting in Barichara, Extreme Swing, Cable Flight, Human "Cauchera", Tibetan Bridge at 3 Kilometers from San Gil via Barichara / Villanueva,

- Visit Pozo Azul, located one kilometer from San Gil on the way to Bucaramanga, where the clean waters of the Curití stream make it possible to swim and it's landscape is completed by small waterfalls, natural trampolines and stone slabs.

Food and Entertainment:

- In Villanueva there are several restaurants where you can find a variety of plates, the places are: "Villa Chalá", "Bajo Cero", "Delicias Mafe" and the famous "El Nevado" ice cream shop where you can enjoy ice cream with unusual flavors like Yucca, avocado, chicha and also traditional flavors like chocolate, arequipe, coconut, etc.

- Villanueva has a commercial walk in the main park of the municipality where you can find clothes, accessories, shoes, groceries and bakery products. There are also two ATMs and one branch of Banco Agrario.

+ From Bogota (Cundinamarca) to Villanueva:

You can take the Autopista Norte and then determine if you take the route for Tunja (blue) or for Chiquinquirá (gray), when you get to San Gil, take the road San Gil - Villanueva / Barichara and divert on the intersection known as "El Choro ":
